I propose that the next series should be about Captain Tucker and Commander Reed running Jupiter Station, with Phlox as the wacky next-door neighbor. That allows Shran and Soval to stop by at need, and Archer can drop by to take them on three-ep arcs in search of somethingorother.

I will miss Trip and Malcolm like I've never missed any characters before.

not that it matters much or will help much, but msnbc has a poll up at their site about the news of the cancellation of Enterprise. Voice your opinion! I did! 67% so far are p.o.'d.

I don't think there ARE any other "current" TV shows out there that I have the slightest interest in watching (besides game shows). Oh, well, I guess "Duck Dodgers" is still doing original episodes, but I've managed to see that, what, all of three times or so? (But then I only saw maybe a handful of "Enterprise" episodes...)

And hockey's screwed up and football's gonna be gone in a few days...bleh. "Home Improvement" reruns for me, I guess!

Um, lessee...

I guess I have my animes...all four of them left as another one got the axe earlier this year. And I can, um, I dunno, read I guess.

I guess there's always fanfiction, too...

Nothing will really replace Enterprise for me, though.

Might this be a good time to do Enterprise Week? Maybe rally some further enthusiasm for the show through parody?

But it seems likely I'll be living through those online fan films for a couple of years, and through the other productions like the excellent http://darkerprojects.com/section31.html. I'm thinking of starting my own audio series to try to keep fan interest up. And for the fame and amusement, of course.

Man... so sorry to hear...

I'm still stuck back at the very beginning of Season 3... right before it starts getting good... But considering how great everyone says it gets from there, I'm very disappointed to hear I've only got two seasons of goodness to look forward to. And when I'm done with those, I'll have cause for full-blown wrath.

I do hope this isn't the end of Trek for the near future, that they'll be starting a new series in a few years... Cross my fingers and hope.

Alexia, I'm with you - thank heavens for Atlantis! Luckily, the ratings there seem pretty good, and I think shows are a little safer on the SciFi channel.

I wish I believed that could work, Wowbagger. But fan campaigns just don't have the power they used to now that every show and its sister has one. Look how well the campaigns to save Angel and Wonderfalls did. And anyway, as much as I flatter myself sometimes, 5MV is just not that popular a site. If Penny Arcade or Homestar Runner or Eric Conveys an Emotion urged its fans to help save Enterprise, it might -- might -- make a difference. But not me.

I have every intention of doing fivers for the rest of the series. Hell, thanks to Paramount's brilliant decision, I'm now more than half done. But I'm not going to pretend my doing so can help in any way.

Zeke, if everyone believed that nothing would get done. Doctor Who had to survive through webcast, audio and book, and has only come back now largely thanks to the perseverence of fans . Theres nothing stopping webcasts/audio/book versions of ENT. In fact, there's no reason why some of the people here couldn't write it. As the title music (infuriating in the extremes as it is) says, you have to have faith
I'm sorry to see it go, when it had such promise.

Default Well...

After the move to Friday, I wasn't suprised. I couldn't watch it most Fridays because of Basketball games preempting it (despite the fact that we have the worst record in the league).

It's a shame, episodes such as Observer Effect were the best Enterprise had ever had.

Ah, well, I still have Lost.
