[color=#000000ost_uid0]It's official - there is definitely going to be a new series of [iost_uid0]Doctor Who[/iost_uid0]. Apparently there is no definite cast as yet, but really, they've got to pick McGann, haven't they?

[color=#000000ost_uid0]Link's not working right now, but I've heard about the announcement. I've seen a fair amount of discussion already about who should be the Doctor, and McGann would seem to be the choice preferred by many, but it's far from unanimous.[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]This is highly frightening. Yesterday night I dreamt that the entertainment section of the local paper featured a full-length article on the history of [iost_uid0]Doctor Who[/iost_uid0], which I was discussing with my mom, and we were arguing whether there were six Doctors, or seven Doctors.

The strange thing is, I'm not a fan. I've never watched a single episode-- I've never even read any of the episode sypnoses. My knowledge of [iost_uid0]Doctor Who[/iost_uid0] is 0.0000 percent, give or take 0.00001 percent. I can't even tell the difference between [iost_uid0]Doctor Who[/iost_uid0] and [iost_uid0]Doctor Zhivago[/iost_uid0]. There was absolutely no reason why it should turn up in my dreams.

Then I get on this morning and read this... somehow I'm wondering if my dream was in any way connected to that. Oy gevalt! Maybe I'm psychic![/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]You could pretty much say that about any of us though, couldn't you?

And by the way, the number of Doctors so far is eight.[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]Eight. Got that. I shall now go tell my mom that neither of us were correct. "Hah! See, there were eight Doctors, not six!" Mom: "Huh? What are you talking about?" [/colorost_uid0]

Yup. I don't know about the figure of 700 years for the average age that Time Lords live to though - most times it seems to be at least 200 years more than that.[/colorost_uid0]
